Know Your Place

Disclaimer: “ 1. Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father,

And attend to know understanding.

2. For I give you good doctrine,

Forsake ye not my law.

3. For I was my father's son,

Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

4. He taught me also, and said unto me,

Let thine heart retain my words:

Keep my commandments, and live.”

Proverbs 4: 1-4, KJV.

A Families Instructions

Although it would be massively convenient, it is not the government’s divinely bestowed responsibility to instruct your child, nor is it God’s expectation that a school board or group of well-intentioned strangers be in charge of teaching your child who they are, where they come from and who they belong to?

Neither did God intend for a group of elected representatives to dictate what instruction your child receives. And although we absolutely should dwell in fellowship and community, the bible does not leave the primary training and instruction of the children of Israel to clergymen.

And so that you don’t think I am in any way trying to influence your thinking, I will ask you this: Do you think God’s design for His Children in the past was for them to be primarily instructed or influenced in their development by the Moabites, the Amorites, the Jebusites, the Edomites, the etc’s? If you answered no, then what would be our unchanging father’s expectations of us today?!

Unrealistic and Nonsensical Expectations

Let’s think pragmatically for a moment: What incentive would the heathen have to tell us where we truly come from? What motivation is it to them for us to know who we are? And not just from our perspective but also that of the almighty Yahweh.

In fact, what harm would it do for their identity more than even ours if the information they know as truth is merely fabricated rubbish, John 8:32.

You genuinely expect the heathen to instill the laws of God in our minds and in the minds of our children? Or would the opposite teaching make more sense?

The Bible expressly tells us that we are not to trust our enemy, Sirach 12:10-12;

10. Never trust your enemy,

for like the rusting of copper, so is his wickedness.

11. Even if he humbles himself and goes about cringing,

watch yourself, and be on your guard against him;

and you will be to him like one who has polished a mirror,

and you will know that it was not hopelessly tarnished.

12. Do not put him next to you,

lest he overthrow you and take your place;

do not have him sit at your right,

lest he try to take your seat of honor,

and at last you will realize the truth of my words,

and be stung by what I have said.

It is not just lackadaisical or an oversight, but it is a colossal and deadly mistake to allow our nation to get its instruction from the heathen. And I will show that even more clearly momentarily. In fact, I believe it might be more impactful if you actually interacted more with this portion of the truth, so….please have your swords prepared, Ephesians 6:17.

Wake Up!

We will start with the tribe Jesus is from; let’s dive in, shall we?

2. Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

Jeremiah 14:2 KJV

Now let’s take a look at the biblical description of Zion and Judah;

10. Our skin was black like an oven

Because of the terrible famine.

11. They ravished the women in Zion,

And the maids in the cities of Judah.

Lamentations 5:10 KJV

Let’s take a look at how Jeremiah describes himself, shall we?;

21. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.

Jeremiah 8:21 KJV

Now, reread these scriptures in a different translation/version of your choosing other than the KJV, I would suggest you start with the version your religious organization primarily utilizes and see if you can spot the differences.

And ignore the whisper of the devil, because if it didn’t matter, why is it missing?

Let us continue further. Brother Job himself is a man who is heralded for his steadfastness, faith, and faithfulness to God. His story is often referenced in countless sermons, yet his biblical description has primarily been neglected ( also my fault for not reading my word myself; I, too, fall short).

Let’s see how Job describes himself. That way, when you teach your children about Brother Job, they can have a more accurate representation in mind;

30. My skin is black upon me,

And my bones are burned with heat.

Job 30:30 KJV

How about how Solomon ( The KING of Israel) describes himself ;

5. I am black, but comely,

O ye daughters of Jerusalem,

As the tents of Kedar,

As the curtains of Solomon.

Song of Solomon 1:5 KJV

(Now, for a good laugh, read the amplified bible or AMP version of this same verse, Song of Solomon 1:5. It is by far the most comical, in my opinion. If any levity can be applied at all to this concealement of truth).

Other than the fact that we would all agree that what the bible says matters, the truth matters, and representation matters, it’s also a matter, that some prominent religions teach that God gave black skin as a curse!

Enter in the Mormons, also called ‘The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.’ So much to unpack there; I do not have the time. Let us rather just head directly to an excerpt from their book, Book of Mormons;

21. And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. 2 Nephi 5:21

According to the Mormons, it makes you wonder what implication this would have for the black tribe Jesus is from. What is the opposite of delightsome?

What Possibly Gives You That Indication?

If you expect the heathen to instruct you or, worse, your children with who they are, you fool yourself and deny them precious information. Who else will teach them that the African and Israelite people are not interchangeable? We are not one and the same, Revelation 7:9.

Just because we at once inhabited the same lands does not make us all the same! Different tribes, different nations. Who will teach God’s little ones that their own people did not sell themselves into captivity during the Atlantic slave trade, but neighboring tribes and nations did?

Please do not misinterpret this article, brothers and sisters, and create unnecessary division trying to do the work of the angels, who alone by the will of God will tell us apart when the time comes, Matthew 13:37-40. Although we must exercise our God-given gift of discernment, it is not our job to condemn, Matthew 7:2.

And lastly, who do you expect will teach Yahweh’s children that we are also not the same as the heathen, who sold their own children to their neighboring slave plantation during the Atlantic slave trade to be brutalized like cattle to satisfy a debt, without even batting an eye? Their babies, simply wiped from the ledger and forgotten. Apparently, a half-white, half-black child equals a full slave.

As a side note, I feel it is imperative to add that God will NEVER leave HIS children in doubt about their place in His family, Romans 8:16. NEVER.

This is Your Place

Fathers, how important is your role? You are the priest of your home and the leader that sets the tone, the direction, and instruction, Joshua 24:15.

Our heavenly father did not entrust you with members of His flock to lead, without giving you guidance and equipping you for the task. All glory be to God;

4. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4.

The Bible is clear that a father must not incite children to anger, but in humility, lead by example in gentleness, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, temperance, and love, Galatians 5:22-23, Colossians 3:21.

Mothers are also vital in the building of God’s kingdom, tasked, among other responsibilities, with managing the home so that fathers can perform the tasks the Lord has given to them, which, among other duties, is to instruct the children, 1 John 5:14.

We have somehow become a society that has fallen away from these biblical principles and either wholly neglect these responsibilities in the home, delegate our assigned tasks to others, or worse, become indifferent. And as a result, our nation clearly struggles collectively because of it, Hosea 4:6.

We Are Not A Hyphenated Concoction

If anyone has to impress upon you the great magnitude and enviable honor it is to be the chosen people of God, then the explanation, in my opinion, would be itself rendered pointless. You are still my family, I love you, and most importantly, whether you choose to recognize or acknowledge this grace, God still loves you.

For those of my family who are humbled by this undeserved bestowing of the God of the universes’ supremely designed selection as His beloved, His nation, His very own possession, 1 Peter 2:9. Make sure you impart this to the young ones in our nation, that their representation is of the kings and queens, prophets and prophetesses, deacons and deaconesses, and judges that our bible is inundated with.

Implanted Knowledge

Proverbs 22:6 states that if you train a child in the way they should go, they will not depart from it, and you no doubt might know of people who were raised in the instruction of fearing the Lord and are living in rebellion, today, you might even be that such person.

Let’s take a closer look at the verse to get a better intended understanding. If we take the prodigal son as an example, although the son did indeed leave the father, the mere fact that he realized that he had a more privileged life with his father shows that he never departed from his knowledge. He never forgot; he remembered the father that he could return to.

It doesn’t mean that your children will not grow up and decide to rebel; they may at a time depart from God, but what it means is that barring any mental encumbrances preventing their memory, of course, they will not forget your instructions, and on God’s timing they will know who they have it better with, and remember the instruction of the heavenly father of their youth.

They will know when the Lord’s discipline takes root in their lives from their opting to depart from His laws and commandments, who can calm that storm.

Although they may temporarily depart from God, they will not depart from the information they need to call on and return to when they have finally reached the point of despair they need to repent and return.

You would have taught them beforehand in their youth about a loving, merciful, and kind heavenly father, who not only sent His only son to give his body for them but who will always welcome His repenting children back into His arms.

So, who will teach our children? A better question is, who did God instruct to teach His children? Proverbs 1:8. Love you. His Glory
