Do You Long For Salvation?

Disclaimer: 1. And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2. for true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.”

Revelation 19:1-4 KJV

Salvation

I don’t know about you, but at the mention of salvation, my first thought goes to eternal salvation. The golden blessing of all blessings; being with God forever after our earthly bodies have passed away. It is the crown jewel of our hope. And it is more than a hope for God’s chosen people who have placed their faith in His son, Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins; it is assured.  Jesus is the only way. We have been saved from the wrath of God, that we deserve, all Glory be to God.

But the salvation I am referring to in this article will also be found in His holy scriptures. This salvation is referenced in Psalm 37:38-40. This salvation is …. Deliverance.

Salvation through deliverance not from God’s wrath but the wrath of the wicked.

Salvation From More Than Just Sin

In Luke chapter 1, it is easy to focus on salvation for the remission of sins. But we must not overlook salvation from our enemies, spoken of in verses 68-71. Sweet salvation from our enemies and all that hate us.

An oath made to our forefather Abraham that, vs. 74, we be delivered out of the hand of our enemies to serve our Lord without fear, in holiness and righteousness before God all the days of our lives.

We Need A Revival

A reviving of God's people to return to our faith in God, return to his law and commandments. A renewing of hearts to seek His Glory and service and commands above all else. Psalm 119.

In the Holy Scriptures, a revival for our people, the Israelites, has looked like redemption from our enemies. Our cries unto the Lord for salvation from our oppressors have countless times resulted in the great Hosanna in the highest delivering us from the wicked and the lover of violence.

We Israelites should not be piled in the street joined unrecognizably with other nations begging our oppressors for salvation, pleading for love and respect, and social justice from people who hate us. What does that convey to our God and not theirs, who is our savior and always has been, when we seek deliverance everywhere but through Him?

We should, by God’s grace, pray for the unstiffening of the necks of our brothers and sisters. That we turn back to the Lord and shout Hosanna while even some of our enemies are shouting for a revival they don't even really want.

Can you imagine if we turned our cries to our God for deliverance instead of continuing to want to turn back to Egypt?

Maybe we would see the red sea open once again in the cities we live in and God's might and power made evident to the people who have performed arrogantly towards us! Oh, imagine, brothers and sisters.

A revival that resembles a reckoning of God in the deliverance of His people and a showing of His great might, more than a return to the Leave it to Beaver society of yesteryear.

Who Are Our Enemies?

Anyone who is an enemy of God is our enemy. And anyone who God says is our enemy is our enemy.

Anyone who would offend or entice God's children to sin, Jesus says this of them “ But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for Him that a millstone were hanged about His neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea,” Matthew 18:6. Yes, Jesus said that.

Anyone who preaches a gospel contrary to the truth of the bible that Jesus’s blood was shed for all people instead of only His people Israel, spreads lies, Matthew 1:21. His People. It is a bold statement, and it is also true.  Let Galatians 1:6-10 give you some more insight, as it has proved comforting to me.

Those who greet you with warm and welcoming lies from their father, the father of lies, the devil, persuading us to blindly trust in their teachings to focus only on grace and minimize the importance of the law. To turn away from God's commands!

Deliver Us Oh Lord, We Need You

God has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, He never promised that we would be so loyal. Nehemiah 9:26-27, “ Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations. 27. Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.”

Throughout the Bible, God’s people had enemies. What do we think, that booming medical and technological advancements in society have made them, poof, disappear? Wake up!

All throughout the Holy Scriptures, God has used our enemies to discipline us for our disobedience and rebellion and then freed us, for His name sake, that we may return to Him, serve and worship Him.

We should be turning to Him and not our enemies as to how best to do that, wouldn't you agree?

We, God’s people, despised, deplored, called bywords, and hated by other nations, have long been praying and crying out lowly in spirit. But what are we praying, and to whom?

What Is A Revival?

Many of us who God has graciously revealed His love for and has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light are still blinded to our true Identity as God’s chosen people. As a result, we have succumbed to satans cunning deceptiveness, a false gospel that we first heard on plantations. As our enemies held bibles in one hand and whips in the other. Such brutally depraved wickedness.

Sailing in on a sea of lies, “coming in peace,” but only to resort to violence and theft, leaving a wave of death and destruction for so many nations, even still happening today. John 10:10.

Oh, when will His people who are called by His name, US, turn from our wicked ways, humble ourselves and pray seeking HIS FACE; then will He hear from heaven, and will forgive our sins, and will heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

My loves, this is how we should be praying. Humby, seeking the Lord for forgiveness that we have turned away from his statutes and commandments, repent and return; he will forgive us for our transgression.

The Lord knows the condition of His people, He knows our hurt and our pain, and He knows the awkwardness we feel in lands that are not ours, Ecclesiastes 5:8-9.

And he also sees us very clearly marching and begging everyone but Him for deliverance, seeking every avenue but Him, trusting in governments to do what we feel we need. As our heavenly father watches it all. Shame on us.

We should humbly pray that the Lord continues to remind us that this is not our home, help us to walk in His statutes and commandments, live peaceably, and let our savior know we long for His return, to deal with our enemies, and place us in our Jerusalem. A land that will be far better than healed; it will be perfect and new. Love you. His Glory.
